What is the Continuous Sandwich Panel Production Line?

We have previously discussed Sandwich panel production methods. The sandwich panel production line itself is one of the topics that needs to be examined separately. The sandwich panel production line is divided into two categories: continuous and discontinuous.

What is the Continuous product line?

One of the types of sandwich panel production methods is its continuous or automatic production. Continuous production lines are about 150 meters long. This production line is used in Germany, Italy and South Korea as the main method of producing various types of sandwich panels. In this method, sandwich panel production is carried out fully automatically and continuously, without human intervention.

“Continuous” refers to an uninterrupted process, and this term points to the method used in the production of sandwich panels, which is carried out in a continuous and ongoing manner. In this process, all raw materials required for panel production enter the production line from one end, and the manufactured sandwich panels exit from the other end of the line, where they are cut according to the required dimensions.

Continuous production line stages

The continuous production line consists of various devices and tools, and each stage of panel production is dependent on one of the devices in question. Below, you will learn about the stages of the continuous production line.

de-coiler

In this part of the production of prefabricated panels, the sheets are placed in the machine in the form of coils and are opened by a decoiler machine. There are usually four decoiler machines in each production line. The upper and lower coils are opened simultaneously and transferred to the roll machine by a conveyor belt.

Roll form machine

This machine consists of two parts, upper and lower, each part of the machine creates the desired design and form on the sheets. The best example that can be given in this regard is the shape of hidden screw sandwich panels, where the shape of the sandwich panel is created on the sheets by a roll form.

Injection device

Before the top and bottom sheets are placed on top of each other, the foam insulation is sprayed onto the bottom sheet by an injection machine. The process of the machine is as follows: the raw materials that make up the foam insulation are deposited in special tankers. It is automatically mixed by the system with the catalyst gas and reaches the desired density, and then directed to the injection device through nozzle hoses.

Press section (double belt)

The most important part of sandwich panel production is the press machine. The length of the press machine in different production lines varies from 12 to 15 meters. In this part, the upper and lower sheets are placed on top of each other by molds made of fiberglass and then the sheets are pressed with appropriate pressure and temperature. The most important point about these machines is the quality of their performance. The higher the quality of the machine, the higher the quality of the sandwich panels produced.

Cutting part

After the sandwich panels are completely produced, the product is directed out of the press machine onto a conveyor belt and the cutting operation is performed according to the desired dimensions and quantity.

Cooling

In the chemical reaction of foam insulation production, a high temperature is achieved, if not cooled, this high temperature causes the sandwich panel to deform and lose its original shape. In the cooling section, the produced and cut sandwich panels are kept in the machine until their temperature decreases and they become cooler.

Shiring

After the prefabricated panels have cooled and their temperature has decreased, they are collected and stacked by an automatic machine. They are then packaged by a shrinking machine and placed in packs ready for loading by forklift.

The number of machines and their dimensions determine the length of the production line. A continuous production line is often about 150 meters long, and the best place to set up such a production line is a shed or a suitable workshop. Since this production line is fully automated; the advanced technology of the production line equipment can affect its production speed and quality.

summary

There are various types of prefabricated panel production lines. These production lines are classified into two categories: continuous and discontinuous. The continuous production line includes a continuous and continuous production line, and the sandwich panel production process is fully automated.
